We were looking for comfort for this particular convertible carseat purchase for an upcoming long car ride. We wanted a plush seat with a thick foam on the seat, not just a quilted cover, but didn't want to spend as much as some of the higher end brands cost. We also needed something with a bit smaller profile side-to-side with other children in the back seat too! This fulfilled all our requests. It was easy to install. The straps don't seem to be too difficult to adjust up and and down later on (pretty typical of most car seats. I had looked at some of the self-adjusting styles and felt a little concerned that they could "self-adjust" while in the car, so I didn't really want those either. A little bit of a pain, but how often do you really move the straps up anyway? The chest closure has two buttons for release, which seems a little more secure (less likely to be undone by an escape-artist-toddler - lol!).
