The automobile seat reviews for this product looked wonderful internet but when I got it, I was a small leery due to the fact it seemed bigger and bulkier than what I was expecting. I purchased the car seat for my 13-mth old and, according to the new recommendations, planned on installing it rear-facing so she could continue riding that way till she is 2. In spite of this, when I lined up the marker on the seat to be parallel to the ground, it was way also far reclined for what I thought was correct. I do not know if this would be the perfect automobile seat for a smaller sized infant - I have normally preferred the infant carries for the initially year of life or so and then transitioning to the convertible vehicle seat (that can also serve as a booster) for the next six-8 years.
the seat is terrific - our 9 month old daughter appears rather comfortable, the weight limits mean we can use it 'til she's 4 or 5, we know she's safe, and width-wise it fits seriously nicely in our '08 camry.
the problem is that she's rear-facing, and will be till she hits the rf weight limit (40lbs!) and in our '08 camry, rear-facing the full air 65 takes up the complete passenger side of the auto. the front passenger seat is 4" away from the glove compartment. my husband has to sit behind me in the back seat.
not certain how to solve the dilemma, but undoubtedly measure the accessible space in your automobile or minivan (or watch some videos on-line) prior to buying this seat.
