Buyer Evaluations

I purchased two of these for our two vehicles at the starting of the summer when I started potty education. My daughter had no accidents in the automobile till we went on our extended road trip. We were driving from North Carolina to New Jersey. My daughter had fallen asleep in the vehicle and we didn't want to cease and wake her up (note: stop every two hours for three year olds for potty time). She woke up screaming given that she wet herself. My husband pulled off at the 1st exit, but there wasn't anything at this exit in remote, southern Virginia. Then again, we did locate a vehicle wash that you can use yourself and it was empty. So we pulled off there. As I got my daughter changed, my husband tackled the car seat. We feared the worst. On the other hand, the car seat was DRY! Except for a little leaking around the buckle, it caught about 98% of the urine. It only took about five papertowels to get the buckle clean.
I ought to credit my husband with what he did next. He took the piddle pad to the car wash and power-washed it. He also sprayed my daughter's shorts and underwear to get the urine out. She believed it was funny. Then we place it all in plastic shopping bags as we drove further and found a rest stop. Then my husband utilized the blow dryer in the bathroom to dry it. It was beneficial to go once more for the rest of our long journey.
I very suggest this. If we did not have it, I bet we'd nevertheless be stuck in Southern Virginia because we'd have to clean and dry the auto seat itself.

I bought this for my 21-month-old who's potty trained at house. I'd hoped it would help us be in a position to preserve her in underpants for car rides. For those tiny accidents where she starts to go, but realizes in time to quit and wait for the potty, it did ok, but not awesome. A tiny bit of urine wicked down to the automobile seat cover from the buckle, but I was able to spot clean and not have to remove the whole cover. Yet, if she has a bigger accident where she just goes till she's carried out (which does not regularly occur, but she's nevertheless quite young, so it does from time to time), the piddle pad could possibly as nicely not be on the seat. Every little thing soaks correct via, all the way down to the automobile upholstery underneath the automobile seat. I can't even picture trying to use this with an older child who pees alot more at 1 time. It just doesn't appear to absorb considerably at all. We have a Britax Boulevard, and I suppose it could be that it just isn't a awesome fit for our automobile seat. I also hate that it requirements to line dry, and takes fairly a whilst. Ultimately, I think a plastic grocery bag covered with a cloth diaper does a much better job of keeping the seat dry.
