Consumer Critiques

I wanted to get one thing for my ten month old so I could ride my bike while my 3 year old rides his. We have a trailer but I wanted to try a seat due to the fact I believed it would be much easier than dragging the trailer out- specially just for riding slowly around the neighborhood with a three year old!
The front sort seemed like a decent idea. The whole purpose I bought a trailer in the first spot was due to the fact I was afraid of my balance becoming thrown off with a bike seat. This front mounted seat is super for balance! I felt really comfortable with my daughter up front and she loved it! We just went for a test run around the block right after installing it.
I was able to install in less than 20 mins with a ten month old crawling about. So I'd say it was pretty hassle-free. It is also especially very easy to take away the seat when you don't want it on your bike.
I was a small afraid of how my knees would hit the seat but I figured for the price I would just order it and give it a attempt and if it didn't perform out I'd return it.
It really is considerably much better than I thought it would be. My knees do not actually hit but I have to pedal in a way that I'm aware that the seats there. Not honestly a major deal, just one thing to get use to.
The seat does seem a little wobbly, not terribly so even though, so not a massive deal. I may well be in a position to adjust it to keep it from performing this. The seat was so easy to install I actually have not read the manual but...
More than all for the price tag you can not beat it. What a cool thing.
I just want to add that I recently went to our local hospital where they do helmet fittings to get a new helmet for my three year old and they wouldn't sell me 1 for my daughter till she's a year. The AAP does not advise young children ride in trailers or bike seats till a year. Trailers are also suggested more than bike seats due to the fact the majority of accidents happen in bike seats. While I would envision that would be the back mounted kind. It would be exciting to see a study about front mounted seats as they turn into alot more offered.
Get this seat! Just be protected!

The seat is excellent-it just was not created to be utilised with a petite rider I guess. I am 5' tall, and when the seat's foot rests are in their totally-extended position, they interfere with my steering mechanism-generating it very dangerous for me to make turns. The seat itself is suitable in my gut. I can lean on it to push it forward, so it isn't too awful, but the worst component is that in order to pedal, I have to extend my legs outwards. It is a terrible strain on my knees and tends to make this a quite uncomfotable-and in some cases overly painful encounter.
