    Consumer Reviews

I have been holding on to evaluation this seat but now that my tiny guy is four months old, I really feel it really is time to do this assessment.
Firstly, it's a good searching auto seat and I get many compliments on it - ladies often ask me exactly where I got it. It has a decent canopy on it for shade and it can be adjusted backwards to varied positions, every single side independently. On a current trip I was able to max it out to complete shade on the car window side and have it clicked back on the inner side so that baby's older siblings could see him and maintain an eye on him. Out of the base, the gentle curve on the bottom can act as a rocker, if you wish. Out and about, I use this seat with Kolcraft's black Universal two Infant Vehicle Seat Carrier and it makes a excellent travel technique and back saver.
The seat comes with a variety of padded inserts for a newborn or preemie, they can be removed or kept in. A head help and bottom assistance - in all there are two or three adjustable/removable supports. The straps are easily adjusted, I believe there are four several height positions, and the seat buckle has three outward adjustment positions. I loosen the straps and pull it out and then pop him in and zip it back in to a comfortable position. The seat seems as secure and as nicely padded as the many Britax seats I've owned over the years. My son also seems to seriously like this seat, I assume he feels like he is being held. There have been a couple of ex-poo-sions too over the months and the cover comes off very easily for washing. It has been in the washing machine numerous occasions and the colors have not faded.
As for the auto, the docking base goes in pretty well having said that, you do not need it, the seat can simply be secured devoid of the fast release base - we've employed it this way a couple of instances in my husband's vehicle. There is also a leveling device on the seat to support you get the angle just suitable for your child's age.
Finally, a significant problem for me was how extended would this seat serve us? With my other children, they all outgrew their infant seats by four months and I didn't want to waste dollars on a seat that would only be implemented for a few months. With this Safety 1st Onboard 35 seat my youngster has in no way outgrown it and still has plenty of headroom and bottom space and leg room. He's a large guy in the 90th %ile yet there is quickly another six inches above the best of his head to the best of the seat.
For us, there have been no negatives, as infant seats go, we love it and so does child. It is nicely developed with characteristics, it is fashionable - and your youngster is unlikely to outgrow it just before they are ready for the subsequent stage seat. If you get a single, be prepared for plenty of compliments.

I purchased this infant seat for my daughter. She is my 3rd kid and I felt like I should really invest in her a new a single and not use the one particular that my sons were in. Well, I am not all that impressed. The seat is able to hold a child as they grow bigger (the purpose they call it the 35...) so I was totally ok with it getting heavier than my other seat that will only hold a kid up to 22 pounds. What I am disappointed in 1) The sun shade it particularly modest. If you appear at the image, you are seeing it completely extended. It covers no way more and it can not be removed from the back and pulled the other way. It has Velcro release but it just flops down and hangs in the babies face or on their legs with it not being attached.
two) The auto seat releases from behind the head but the latch is at the feet so you are certainly lifting straight up and it is tough to do. You have to be in the auto and with your perfect hand reach around and pull the latch, at the similar time you need to have to be lifting with your left hand at the feet, at the exact same time you need to have to be acquiring it out of the back of the middle seat of your SUV and attempting to stand even though holding the 14 pound auto seat that is holding your 13 pound daughter (she's tiny for six months, I put my eight month 22 pound nephew in it and I could not get him out of the vehicle...)
three) The newborn headrest has an further head rest that is on either side of babies head and a different at the waist. They appear like kidney beans squishing their head and waist. I personally felt that they moved also substantially and I was truly worried they would move and allow her to turn her head into them and suffocate herself. I am not a super anxious mom, I have two older boys that have tamed me, but even my mother-in-law noticed it and said anything. I removed them and got a distinctive head rest that snapped about the straps.
Sorry this is so lengthy, but I wanted to be as informative as I could be. I really like the colors and they are easy to wash, but I would not obtain this once again. If we ever have yet another kid (god support me) I will not use this once again...
