Consumer Reviews

This seat is Awesome. It is sturdy, straightforward to use, simple to clean, low-cost, comfy, lengthy-lasting, and additional. I had an older version of this exact same seat (about two years ago) and purchased two of this version--the old one for my hubby's car and these two for my minivan. My two-year-old LOVES the soft, cushiony seat--she often takes her shoes and socks off to rub her feet on it, and my 6-month-old loves the added area and freedom of the larger seat (she got as well huge for the Graco carrier type.) The tilt is pretty simple and easy to use and it installs rapidly and fast--with LATCH--I haven't tried any other technique. They fit beautifully into both my hubby's VW Passat and my Hyundai minivan--we're each tall and still have plenty of room to have our seats all the way back and these seats installed in both front and rear facing positions. It also cleans simple--straight into the wash and cool-setting dryer.
I hope this helps you with your vehicle-seat buy choice. I know I was a little overwhelmed by all of the selections and price differences. This seat was $90 with totally free shipping (from Amazon via BabyAge, I assume--got right here in two days) when I got it. I did go to a neighborhood shop 1st to check these out (it was $160 in the store) I found the more affordable seats (Graco, Evenflo) had thinner padding. The way more high priced seats (Brittax, etc.) had lots of colors and similar padding to this seat. I don't genuinely feel the children care that much about the colors--their butts are on them, you know? I like that this fabric appears to hide every thing my two-year-old can dish out on it--and then wash very easily if it gets stinky. Oh--the other thing I truly like about this seat is how easily the straps adjust--I haven't noticed any that are much easier--if you appear at the picture you'll see these little red handles at the leading--you simply push/pull these and the straps slide up or down--other vehicle seats you have to rethread the issues--who has time for that!?! Also, the arm rests are adjustable--I have them up and out of the way for now--when we transition to the booster, I'm confident I'll bring them down.
Great luck
p.s. I've read a couple of of the negative reviews and have some points--
1. For the ones who couldn't eliminate the infant headrest, it is incredibly effortless to remove. Unthread the belts from the clip in the rear, thread out through the front and the headrest slides off--then rethread (the directions are in the back of the book--appear under cleaning.)
2. For the tilt--for vehicles with bucket seats, you will have to have to use a prop to adjust the front of the seat when rear-facing. You can obtain a $10 adjuster, cut up a $1 swimmers noodle, or roll up a towel--all are secure--and you can ask you automobile service dept or safety official to support with the install (most nearby police departments have monthly safety seat checks.)
I nevertheless enjoy this seat--I assume it is super uncomplicated to use.

Decide to purchase these at Amazon or other spot web based given that they are nearly DOUBLE the value at Toys-R-Us ($169 in Feb 2008).
We purchased these car seats for our 1-yr-old (22 lb) twin boys and WE Appreciate THEM They are certainly padded, cushiony and roomy, so they had been very comfy for the road trip we just took. When I figured out how to use the hooks to attach to the LATCH bolts built-into my auto (incl. in most vehicles built following 2002), it did not take extended to install.
They will be simple to adjust as our boys develop, and we're thrilled that we won't need to have to acquire one other automobile seat EVER. As a three-in-1 automobile seat, they can be converted and put to use till the youngster is up to 100 lbs!
We agree that they'll be as well huge for tiny cars. In reality, our boys just barely met the limit to situate the vehicle seat to be front-facing. If they hadn't, I do not consider it would have fit in our Toyota 4Runner as a rear-facing seat.
The automobile seat itself is not significant. The difficulty is that it calls for a lot of width (i.e. looks reclined) in order to be set at the safety level in the back seat.
Otherwise....we enjoy it and would highly advocate it.
