We got this as a gift and were excited to use it. It got my son to sit, but that's the only good part. It leaks, badly. So not only do I have to empty the bucket but also his legs, feet, floor under the chair, and anything within a few inches of the seat. Don't waste your money, it's useless.

I have to agree with the other reviewers. There are pros and cons to this potty:
Pros:
My son LOVES it, so it's motivation for him to go pee on it
The flushing sound isn't annoyingly loud, and it's easy to remove to change batteries
It makes a nice stool
The cushion is soft and warm... when my son sits on a potty that doesn't have the cushion, he complaints
Cons:
It does leak. Sometimes if my son isn't pushing his penis directly into the bowl, it leaks all over- under the potty seat
The Yellow color bowl makes it hard for my son to see if he's peed or not (I used food coloring to help, which he loves)
The "penis shield" is worthless... like I said, my son has to push his penis all the way in
Once it's closed as a stool, it's difficult to open without the whole potty bowl removing as well... and adult has to open it- not child friendly
So... Overall it's not a great potty chair for a boy. I will be keeping it because my son loves it, and I'm not that upset about cleaning up the floor as I see this potty chair as a short -term item
