Customer Reviews
We were torn between this seat and the Britax Marathon. We chose this seat because it has outstanding safety ratings and is significantly much less highly-priced than the comparable Britax seat. So far, we like it rather well. Our son is eight months old and 20 lbs. We began in a Graco SnugRide 35 and switched considering that he seemed uncomfortable, plus he was also heavy to use it as a carrier anymore.
The Evenflo Triumph 65 (rear facing) in fact fits improved in our auto than the SnugRide and enables the front seat to slide back additional. We have a Scion xB, so it really is not a sizeable automobile. We will switch to front facing when his legs develop too extended to be rear facing, which looks like it will be very a when.
Our son likes this seat Substantially greater than the infant seat. He is up higher and can see out. He never ever liked the automobile before, but is significantly much happier now and seems to be rather comfy.
The only reason I docked it a star is for the reason that of the placement of the strap tightening knob and loosening lever. It is tricky, although not impossible, to access in rear-facing mode. I do not feel it will be a issue when front facing. Having said that, it is probable to get him in and out of the seat with out loosening the straps, so this is not ordinarily an concern.
I've in no way had a Britax, so maybe they are improved, but I cannot picture how! I actually like this seat. We had our son rear facing in it till he was 2, and now have him forward facing in it. It's certainly painless to adjust the straps and the height- plus it's simple and easy to take away the cover for washing. There certainly are only 2 negatives I can feel of. 1. When the seat was rear facing it can be a little troublesome to reach the lever to loosen the straps, but I blame that mostly on my modest vehicle. 2. The straps can get twisted quite effortlessly- but it's certainly not too challenging to straighten in back out, but I could see this being a dilemma with most seats (it occurs with our Graco infant seat also and it's a lot tougher to repair)!
Also we've been on extended trips and our son never complains- the seat has an additional cushion that goes in it for tiny one's bottom.
Overall I'd undoubtedly invest in this seat again!
