Customer Critiques
We ordered this car seat to place in Grandma's automobile, so we weren't looking for perfection, but the few big flaws with this seat were just not acceptable for us.
1-The strap is one particular continuous loop. If you do not pull it out evenly it does not tighten up evenly and then you have a child saying, "Ow, get me out!" given that 1 strap is way too tight and the other nonetheless has slack. I extremely doubt Grandma wants to fiddle around with straps or hurt the youngster.
2-There are no pads on the straps, so when they tighten unevenly they also cut into the child's neck. I suppose you can get aftermarket pads, which it what I would have performed if the other difficulties did not make us return it.
three-The buckles are both a bit cheap feeling and the seatbelt-sort buckle is highly troublesome to buckle. It is not that difficult to UNBUCKLE, but almost impossible to buckle. I really believed I had one thing backwards or twisted, but no, it is just that hard to buckle.
I decided that if these items had been a challenge for me, they would be genuinely difficult for Grandma.
The seat was quite fantastic otherwise. I basically liked the general size, the cup holders and armrests look beneficial. The fabric is sort of mesh-like and what looks white in the picture is truly pale gray faux leather, which looks alright but I wonder how it will look in a year.
I quite possibly would have liked this seat and kept it if not for the stupid continuous strap and bad buckles. Strange that they would low-priced out on the two things we have to use and interact with every day. If they would transform that it would be a quite decent vehicle seat. As it is I guess we will just cough up the added $100 and decide to buy a further Britax for Grandma's automobile, at least I know they have awesome buckles and straps that do not hurt my kid.
