I had three 5 point harness vehicle seats installed in the backseat of a Hyundai Sonata. I have been waiting for someone to make a booster with out armrests as buckling a booster in next to a carseat is pretty rather tough. Not a thing a kid could do, for positive! The BubbleBum has these fantastic tiny clips that hold the booster in location and direct the seatbelt so it rests properly on the child. It is simple to inflate (just a few breaths) and straightforward to install. It can be a tiny tricky to get the seatbelt routed into the clips based on how thick the webbing on your seatbelts are, but you do not have to redo the clips unless you eliminate the seat from the vehicle. Once it is installed, my 6 year old can buckle and unbuckle her seatbelt with ease - even with two other 5 point harnessed carseats subsequent to her. I needed this seat as a solution to a three carseats across in a sedan answer, and the BubbleBum works wonderful for us! It is rather compact and comfy.

The BubbleBum booster is super fun and lightweight, great for rolling up and taking on a trip. I give it five stars for this objective. I would advise it for only occasional use for the reason that my 5 year old can't buckle himself in (you need to connect the loops by way of both sides of the lap belt portion of the seatbelt). You must blow it up with your mouth and make positive you are working with it appropriately, so I wouldn't suggest it for carpool use either. As with any booster, be confident to use the shoulder belt adjuster for proper fit to protect your youngster in the event of a crash.
We are using it to fit three across a rental sedan backseat on a vacation. It is rated a "preferred bet" for fit by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (they don't crash test them, but testing the fit, or how the shoulder belt lies along the collarbone, is a important element in how nicely it will perform in a crash.) I discovered that a different booster I personal is "not advised," so be positive to check on the IIHS web site just before you buy any booster seat, at [....]
