While it did maintain the rain off, it will need to be noted that this item does not make your infant carrier float.
This item is especially good, it is better then the typical rain plastic. The truth that it only fits over the automobile seat makes it much better, there is very much less wind that gets under the plastic onto the infant. If you have a carseat wit the snap and go or Graco frame this is an wonderful product to buy.
