I just got this auto seat yesterday. I really purchased two of them. I researched "automobile seats" to death before deciding on this one. I have a two-year-old (virtually 3) and a a single-year-old that will be applying these automobile seats. I was worried that they may possibly end up being "low cost" given that I was acquiring on-line, and couldn't see them in person, but that wasn't the case! The vehicle seats are really sturdy, the chest clip is robust and sturdy, the fabric is pretty soft, and seems durable. They had been a breeze to install in my van, each forward-facing. I appreciate how simple and easy the LATCH straps are to adjust, each tighten and loosen. There is a button to press on the LATCH strap to make it hassle-free to loosen for removing the seats.
The reclining function is to make the seat at the correct angle to fit snugly against the back of the bench seat, and to recline the seat to a 45° angle for rear-facing infants.
I like how you don't have to rethread the harness straps in order to adjust the height up or down. You just pull forward the two small red levers, situated at the front of the seat, (if you look closely, you may well see 1 in the picture, subsequent to the pillow) then pull up or push down the entire head/back rest.
