Consumer Critiques

This is not a full item evaluation and my rating has to be taken with a grain (or two) of salt!
But I have been looking for a bag to fit my highly big Britax Advocate CS (the a single with the big challenging plastic side "airbags") and, just after talking to a large number of organizations, this is the only 1 nevertheless manufactured I could come across (Britax seems to be out of stock indefinitely).
You can confirm that for your self with their client service:
J.L. Childress Co

The rep I talked to there informed me that the other model (also sold right here, significantly less expensive I think it is called "ultimate") would not fit my carseat. She also said they advocate buying from Amazon, wal mart or rightstart rather than straight via them.
I am taking a few extended trips to Europe inside the subsequent handful of weeks so I will soon have a opportunity to review the item functions, construction and durability.
Meanwhile, I hope this bit of information will be beneficial.
UPDATE two/15/12: I have received the bag and can confirm that it fits the Advocate CS easily. I am hunting forward to putting the bag by means of the test of quite a few trans-Atlantic flights.
UPDATE 2/29/2012: Just took a trip from CA to France, through London. I had planned on gate checking my carseat+ bag then utilizing the entire set-up as a "stroller" in London. Points went nicely by means of security although the seat does not fit in the x-ray machine: I had to take it off the bag, have it manually inspected (bag went by way of x-ray) then place it back on. No big hassle even by mayself with a toddler (on leash!). The concern came from British Airways: they gate-checked then informed me that I could not get the bag back in London as it was going in the key luggage compartment! Just what I was trying to stay away from to not get my carseat crushed by 50 lb suitcases!
But, my carseat was delivered in France through the oversized section (it took a extremely extended time) and was spotless so I assume it was treated really nicely. The bag did good and looks very good as new.
I am going to stick with a 4 star rating for now as I have a couple complaints: the top deal with is adjustable (not confident why as it is quite lengthy) and pretty inconvenient (too soft and not close enough to the bag), the overall construction appears a bit flimsy and the finishing leaves a lot to be desired for the value (a lot of loose threads). Lastly, there is no bag-pack shoulder straps solutions and just one additional deal with in the front.
I will update as we travel alot more but so far I am fairly pleased with the product.

This product seems like a superior concept and possibly they had really good intent...but it really is made especially fairly cheaply. Mine tore at the manage before I even applied it. The hardware on it is less than second rate. I get the feeling the people who created it have no encounter with building standard luggage that desires to withstand a particular level of wear and tear. I'd classify this extra as a bag to store a auto seat in a garage than to travel on the plane with. Because this is the "Elite" travel bag I'm assuming the models that expense much less could only be worse. I also purchased the red stroller bag that J.L.Childress tends to make (for checking in at the gate) and it tore at the seams soon after 1 brief Delta flight. They have a very good concept but they just don't know how to make a quality item. I'm searching for a replacement, or possibly have one created.
