I've been a bit of a vehicle seat fanatic considering that ahead of my very first kid was conceived (she's practically eight). I took problem with Britax's claim that this was a thinner profile seat that would enable you to put 3 seats in the back seat. I tested this out in my van with two Graco Turbo Booster (which by the way, are about two inches thinner widthwise). If you are not going to be buckling the youngsters into the seats, you can fit three across, but if you essentially want to secure the children in the seats (And, why wouldn't you?) there is possibly no way you are going to fit 3 of this seat in your car's back seat.
I also had a issue with the slide guard. I tried it out in three distinctive seat positions in my minivan. If you have a seatbelt that has one particular of those small plastic button factors that maintain the buckle from sliding all the way to the end of the belt, you may not be able to adequately use the slide guard with the seat belt as the opening on the slide guard is too narrow to accommodate it. This causes the webbing to press into the inner thighs of the child. My rather thin child complained about this. I would think about it would be worse for a heavier child who had larger thighs.
There are some good points about the seat. When adjusted to the correct length, the slide guard mechanism was very quick to position on the seatbelt correctly. It is also a highly nicely padded seat. Britax has in no way prior to had a booster that converts to a backless booster so this is a good alter there. Also, the seat is taller than the older Parkways which is a definite bonus. In the old Parkway, my daughter is 4 notches from the bottom. On the Parkway Slide Guard, she is two notches and would have years of growth room.
All stated and done, it is an okay booster, but undoubtedly not what I expected right after all the hype more than the past year. If Britax would modify the webbing on the slide guard mechanism, that would be a tremendous benefit.

Britax has now mentioned that you can get rid of the slide guard from this seat and use it as a typical booster. If that had been an choice when I did my original critique, I would have given it a greater rating so it is necessary to note. The slide guard is nonetheless advised, just not necessary.
